Positive: From the very beginning we were made to feel so welcome. The family and staff couldn’t do enough for us - it was like staying with friends. They collected us from the airport, treated us to a mini trip round the island and dropped us off at a restaurant that served delicious soup. In the morning, at our request, we were given a lovely breakfast beautifully laid up in our room. Rai the owner was easy to contact via WhatsApp if we needed anything. The property itself wasmodern and very attractive. It was just a shame we were only there for one night before boarding a boat.
Negative: Absolutely nothing.
Summary: If you simply want bed and breakfast accommodation you couldn’t find a nicer place with nicer people

Positive: An oasis in Maamigili, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made to feel like a VIP guests. The experience was wonderful. Rai Bob and Rafi ensure you want for nothing during your stay at Villa residences We were greeted at the ferry terminal and taken to our accommodation where we received a welcome drink and cold towels to freshen up with.. Rai introduced the island to us, explained the different excursions that they could offer and arrange for us and send us a great deal of information via WhatsApp so that we could read and digest at our leisure. The reception area and the courtyard which really double as the dining area and social area is immaculate. Well maintained in terms of the foliage, we understand that there was a lot of mosquitoes last year and having spoken to returning guests we know that the number is now significantly reduced. What was nice though is the fact that there is anti-mosquito spray on all tables and provided in all rooms, an indication that they’re thinking about the guests and their needs. The mosquitoes were not a problem during our stay. After a welcome we were shown to our room which was nicely chilled. Thanks to the very efficient air conditioning unit. The bed was decorated with petals, which was a lovely touch. The room was spacious well fitted out clean and smelt fresh. The room has a really comfortable double, with white cotton sheets and, always a bonus, two pillows per person! Our room had a ‘ welcome’ fruit bowl, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities fresh and bottled chilled water was provided each day. The room was serviced to a high standard every daily. We enjoyed watching the television in our room as well as listening to the music on the television in reception area and the reels of marine life that were sometimes playing, very relaxing. After we checked in, we were taken on a complimentary island tour which helped us to orientate ourselves to the island.

Positive: The staff are amazing. They go beyond expectations to make everything perfect.
Negative: There are bugs but that’s normal for the tropics and the staff have plenty of spray on hand to help keep them away.
Summary: The tours are great. We same with whale shark and manta rays And the snorkeling at the sand bank is just stunning.

Positive: Loved how staff care about ensuring customers have everything they need to enjoy their stay. Their attention to details, availability to answer questions and the offering of all kid of activities to enjoy this island is fabulous. Room big and clean, terrace environment quiet and lovely.

Positive: Very very friendly owner - went out of his way to helping us. Great breakfast - tried some Maldivian specialities which was great! Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Lovely clean spacious room with good AC. WiFi stable and around 10MBPS
Negative: Nothing really! Would have been handy to have a bedside table and have the water replenished more frequently but otherwise it was a perfect stay!

Positive: We had a great stay Vilu Residence. Super helpful staff, ultra clean and new room. Short walk to the beautiful local bikini beach and the best Restaurant, The Beak. We were greeted with fresh coconuts and cold towels, there was a bowl of fruit in the room too. Breakfast was great, a mix of western and local food and lots of it. We had bought some food to cook and the owner let us use the kitchen to prepare the food, he really went out of his way to get the extra things we needed. The rooms were so clean and comfortable like being in a 5*hotel. You will really enjoy your stay here. Great value for money.
Negative: The day trips are over priced which is a big shame.
